We are proud to announce the first event of the year, Bergen Student Skiing to Furedalen the 9th of February!

Furedalen Alpine is a downhill ski centre with easy slopes suited for first-timers and beginners. A small cafeteria is also available at the ski-centre.

Prices  - Ticket sales close on Monday 5th of February, please be advised that the event may sell out before this date. 
Students attending UiB, HVL, NHH, NLA and VID    200 NOK
Other Students/Ph.D    350 NOK
Non-Students    500 NOK

The ticket price includes:
• Transportation by bus, to and from Bergen city centre -Furedalen
• A day pass for the ski-lifts
• Skiing instruction for beginners (downhill skiing/ snowboard)
• A chocolate for the lunch break
Tickets are non-refundable, but namechange can be done once before 4th of February. This cost 45 NOK.

08:15 Departure by bus from Hotel Terminus
09:30 Arrival Furedalen
10:00 The ski-lifts open
13:00 Lunch
16:00 The ski-lifts close
16:15 Departure by bus from Furedalen
17:30 Arrival Bergen

Rental of skis, boots and helmet is not included in the price. This cost 200 NOK and will have to be paid directly to the ski centre when arriving.
You are welcome to bring your own ski/snowboard equipment on the bus with you. Please note that the ski-centre does not have ski-clothes available for rental.

If you are an experienced skiier/snowboarder and would like to participate as a ski or snowboardinstructor, please send us an email ( telling us which level you would like to be an instructor in and your previous experience with skiing/snowboarding. You have to be comfortable instructing in English. The event will be free if you volunteer. 

Please note that neither Study Bergen nor your host institution is liable should you injure yourself, lose or have possessions stolen from you during the trip. Please make sure your insurance is valid. 
Check the weather forecasts, wear warm clothes and remember sunblock.
