The start of a new semester is right around the corner, and Study Bergen would like to say a warm welcome to old and new students alike!

Below we have gathered information and useful resources for international students from the different institutions. We hope you will enjoy your time in Bergen. Welcome!

University of Bergen

Participate in the Introductory Programme for new international students and find out all you need to know about being a student at UiB and how to make the most of your stay in Bergen!

The Introductory Programme lasts from 6 August to 11 August.

University college of Bergen 

Welcome week for international students the 10th of August to 14th of August. 

The welcome week takes place in the beginning of each semester and it is an excellent opportunity to meet other international students.

Norwegian school of Economics

The Welcome week is a combination of a ceremony, information and social activities organized by the students. 

It starts on August 10th 2015. We strongly advise you to join information meetings and social events during this week. Teaching starts on August 17th 2015.

NLA University College

NLA University College has two different campus in Bergen. Semester for incoming students starts Tuesday 18th of August. For everyone else it starts the 19th of August.

Bergen Academy of Art and Design 

Monday 24th of August Theatre Director Agnete Haaland and KHiB's Rector Gerd Tinglum will give the opening speeches for the launch of the new academic year at the Grand Selskapslokaler. 

Throughout two weeks (24th August- 4th September) they offer exciting events including  preparations for the semester, practicalities and social mingling.
